*******TONIGHT!!!!********
(Bundle up! It's cold out there!!)
Wednesday, November 12th
6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Join us for this special event that takes place after sunset on our school grounds. This is a rare opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Crestwood’s forest under a waning moon! Grab your flameless lanterns, flashlights, and a cup for warm apple cider and head back to school. We will meet in the Old Gym (main level, front entrance) where we will “light” our lanterns and take a stroll through the woods to hear stories and sing some songs. Warm apple cider will be served.
Event Details
- Families are encouraged to bring flameless lanterns and/or flashlights to help light the path. Please, no open flames.
- Bring a reusable cup for apple cider so we can support the spirit of Outdoor Education by lessening our waste.
- If you wish, bring a tasty treat to share. Help us fill our table with muffins, breads or cookies.
- Please dress appropriately! Cold weather is predicted this week. In the event of inclement weather, activities will take place indoors.
Lanterns
Students in Kindergarten through 3rd Grade will have the opportunity to make lanterns at school during art class. Families are welcome to make their own lanterns at home to use at this event. For ideas online, search ‘lanterns crafty crow' to find ideas using Mason jars, tin cans, plastic bottles, or even how to make your own paper mache lantern. Please remember to use flameless candles.
